Palm Bay Bass circa 1990's with gig bag

Palm Bay are a UK company making high-end guitars and basses with most of the production being done in Korea. This particular bass however has an interesting history. It is a one-off production prototype that was made in the UK in the 1990's. The resulting production was very limited (Only 12 made) and produced in Korea. These Korean made basses were only produced in natural colours and see through finishes.

Andrew Mackensie from Palm Bay states:

"With regards to the Bass, well, this actually is a prototype and never went into production. If you look at the website, the picture of the

Bass Guitars has your Bass in it because it was the only one. In the

end we only produced them in natural colours and Gold hardware as per

the Bass on the right as well as the see thro coloured one in the

middle. Anyway your Bass is a one off.

The info on it is that it has a mahogany body with a three-piece maple

neck and scarfed on headstock. The hardware is Gotoh as were the

pickups and electronics.

The bass it's self is in extremely good condition with a slim, fast Jazz type neck and is nice and lightweight. Top end components and great sound make this a very rewarding bass to play.
