SOLD - SIMILAR INSTRUMENTS AVAILABLE Fender Telecaster Plus 1990 Solid Ash with Fender Hard Case Here we have an unusual version of the Telecaster in virtually new condition. This guitar has been owned by a serious collector who knew how to pick some of the most special guitars made, and looked after them properly, too. The Telecaster Plus was first introduced in 1990 and this example is from the first year of production. (Interestingly it has a N9 serial number which should stand for 1999 but the decals were produced far in advance and apparently some Fender employees applied the wrong decal for 1990 - it should be N0, I don't know if this make this guitar even more desirable but it is an interesting point). |

Only the natural finish versions of this guitar were made out of solid ash (all the other were just ash veneered over poplar) and you can tell by the weight, its quite heavy but just feels and looks real quality, and obviously helps with the sustain. This example has a perfect high gloss finish which shows off the ash very well. It
features 3 Lace Sensor pick ups, the usual 3-posistion selector switch and a
mini toggle between the volume and tone controls which allows you to use the
bridge pick up as a humbucker or 2 different single coils. Unmarked neck and
rosewood fretboard. |
